We first began updating the icons in Windows 10 last year starting with the built-in apps. Since then, we have continued updating icons throughout Windows 10 including the icon for Windows Security , the Narrator icon , and most recently the icon for Notepad.

Please note: After upgrading to this build, any custom folders pinned to Quick Access will disappear. You can either make note of them prior to updating to this build or pause updates until we get a fix in. You can also combine these actions with predefined support for applications like Excel to help automate repetitive tasks. During Microsoft Ignite earlier this month, we announced Power Automate Desktop will be available to Windows 10 users at no additional cost.

The news and interests flyout experience will now show two columns of content, making it easy to quickly glance over your feed of weather, headlines, money, and more.

By default, it will open via hover or click. Based on your feedback, we will also be introducing an option to only open via click in a coming update. This means that Insiders who previously had news and interests enabled on their taskbars may see it go away.
